FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: process measuring magnetic susceptibility of oxide compositions and salts in liquid and solid phases is related to field of physical methods of study of magnetic characteristics of substance used in high and increased temperatures. As distinguished from existing methods proposed process makes it possible to measure magnetic susceptibility by contact method both in liquid and solid phases. With this in mind pole pieces are placed into melt of sample and inductance L of circuit " POLE PIECES-SAMPLE-MELTING POT " is measured with sample being cooled to hardening. Then inductance Lo of circuit POLE PIECES-AIR- MELTING POT " is measured in same temperature interval under same cooling rate. Magnetic susceptibility is found by formula X=L/L/Lo-1. In this case there is no necessity of formation of significant magnetic field between pole pieces and, in consequence of it, no need in usage of bulky members of structure such as frame of electromagnet, excitation coils, storage battery, etc. Besides, the process makes feasible to replace measurement of mechanical value - force and to abandon by that usage of range lengtheners and signal amplifiers. EFFECT: simplified and efficient measurement of magnetic susceptibility of oxide compositions and salts. 3 dwg
