FIELD: radiolocation of air objects from flying aircraft. SUBSTANCE: method consists in measurement of coordinates of air objects by one airborne reconnaissance aid based on reception and analysis of signals of radio altimeters of these aircraft coming along direction "object-reconnaissance aid " and reflected from underlying surface of ground. Method allows coordinates of emitting objects to be obtained by way of selection of direct, mirror-symmetry reflected and maximum of diffusion-reflected signals of radio altimeters of reconnoitered aircraft and by way of measurement of values of delay between these signals.
