METHOD OF SURGICAL TREATMENT OF SEVERE BURNS AND HOLLOW ULCER OF CORNEA Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: ophthalmology. SUBSTANCE: method is used for surgical treatment of severe burns of cornea, burn disease of cornea with threat of perforation, hollow ulcers of cornea which are not lending themselves to conservative treatment and threatening with perforation. Method includes dissection of necrotized tissue of corneas; additional formation in cornea of tunnel to base of crus of autoconjunctive graft. During closing of defect, conjunctive graft is buried in cornea stroma. Fixation is effected by interrupted sutures in cornea bed and tunnel. EFFECT: higher efficiency due to formation of full-value cicatrical tissue resulted from intensification of microcirculation and stimulation of reparative processes. 4 dwg
