DEVICE FOR DYNAMIC TESTING OF ROAD PAVEMENTS Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: motor road building; testing motor road and airfield structures for strength. SUBSTANCE: device is installed on trailer and has stamp made in form of two paired wheels united by support platform which is rigidly coupled with two guide cylindrical rods connected for vertical displacement, and drop weight with hook mechanism arranged between rod guide cylinders, drive for lifting drop weight and measuring device consisting of measuring roller and vertical displacement pickup installed on free end of crossmember whose other end is connected for movement through rod with electric drive secured on trailer frame. Device has additionally drives to set stamp paired wheels in travelling and working positions and dynamic force meter. Trailer is made in form of three-support truck with horizontal frame front supports of which is made turnable. Drives for setting stamp wheels in travelling or working position are installed symmetrically on horizontal frame of truck at both sides of stamp support platform. Dynamic force meter is made in form of relative displacement pickup. Housing of pickup is installed on vertical frame, and its sensing member - rod on support platform. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy and reliability of determinations of road pavement load bearing capacity ( determination of value of dynamic modulus of elasticity), enhanced service and technical characteristics of device. 3 cl, 3 dwg
