METHOD OF MINING OF MINERAL BEDS WITH ROOF INSECURE ROCKS Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: mining. SUBSTANCE: method includes driving of development workings, mining of bed by longwalls with use of powered mining complexes and filling of mined-out spaces with barren rocks. Method is realized with determination of maximum permissible roof lowering in longwall face at which spontaneous caving of roof rocks occurs in longwall space. Rate of longwall advance is taken less than limit rate of its advance at which mineral bed collapses in front of breakage face to depth equaling working width of mining machine. Mined-out space is filled by formation, for instance, of rock packs with determination of required value of fill yielding by offered relationship. EFFECT: provided required yielding of rock pack for efficient unobstructed extraction of mineral excluding inrushes in face space and ensuring increase of breakage face load by 25-30%. 1 dwg, 1 tbl
