FIELD: mining industry. SUBSTANCE: invention refers to roof supporting in breakage faces with use of roll lagging and can be used for development of coal seams with unstable roof. Process of roof supporting includes support of exposed surface of roof by laying of roll lagging unreeled from drum positioned near roof on clearing combine, movement of cappings of sections of powered support under charging side of roll lagging with its advance on to face following pass of combine. Then face edge of roll lagging is picked up with the aid of anchors which are installed into rock of roof of seam with inclination towards advance of face in staggered arrangement. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of support of roof in section of its exposure with presence of unstable rocks in it. 3 dwg
