FIELD: study of antifriction coats applied to pig iron surfaces working under conditions of boundary lubrication. SUBSTANCE: coat in the form of film applied to surface of samples is deformed by movement of ball indenter with its subsequent rotation. Materials of samples have hardness differing from that of materials of films. Indenter is rotated with reference to symmetry axis perpendicular to plane of sample. Force of rotation of indenter and indentation diameter in sample are measured. Ball indenter is moved till boundary of separation "coat-backing " is crossed which ensures cutting away of compounds on boundary " coat-backing "by roughnesses of indenter while it rotates. EFFECT: enhanced quality of tangential adhesive strength of coats applied by friction-mechanical method on surface of one of parts of friction pair working under conditions of boundary lubrication. 2 dwg, 1 tbl
