FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mechanical engineering and can be used in carrying out mechanical tests of insulation of windings of locomotive electric motors. Essence: application of force to the test sample of the insulation coating is applied. Apply the influence of the vibrational nature to the test sample, regulate the power of the impact with the help of a frequency generator, monitoring of the test is carried out using a movable video camera. At the end of the test phase, the results are compared with the reference initial sample and a conclusion is made on the state of the insulation coating. Device contains a high-frequency acoustic speaker with a frequency generator and a sound amplifier attached to it for controlling the vibration effect, transmitted to the test sample by means of a speaker, fastening devices mounted on the top of the speaker to fix the sample, as well as on the basis for mounting the speaker, a video camera, moved with the help of a manipulator for several degrees of freedom.

EFFECT: technical result: ability to assess the residual life of the insulation coating, show the dangerous places on the insulation coating.
