FIELD: civil engineering. SUBSTANCE: proposed tongs for brick blocks has two pairs of intersecting members, articulated links, clamping shoes, vertical displacement limiter made in form of minimum two stops, tongs members hold-open mechanism. Shoes are hinge-mounted on lower ends of tongs members, and links are mounted on upper ends. Tongs have longitudinal shaft and at least one longitudinal rod. Tongs members are hinge-mounted in pairs on ends of shaft, and links of each pair of tongs members are hinge-coupled with rod. Stops hinge-mounted on shaft are provided with cylindrical support surface coated with elastic material. Tongs members hold-open mechanism is hinge-mounted on rod for engagement with shaft. This mechanism is made in form of hook in mouth of which shaft is located when tongs members are held open. EFFECT: facilitated mounting of brick blocks, reduced labour input, enhanced convenience in operation. 5 cl, 3 dwg
