FIELD: organic chemistry. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of synthesis of new magnesium-organic compounds. Method involves interaction of fullerene-(C60) toluene solution with an excess of ethylmagnesium bromide (EtMgBr) or ethyl -magnesium chloride (EtMgCl) ether solution in the presence of zirconacene dichloride (Cp2ZrCl2) as a catalyst in argon atmosphere under normal conditions for 8-16 h. Interaction is carried out at mole ratio C60 : EtMgHal = 1:(30-300) and catalyst is taken at amount 3 mole% with respect to EtMgHal. Magnesium-containing fullerenes can be used in fine organic and organometallic synthesis and functionalization products are attracted as physiologically active substances, extractants, sorbents, addition agents, photosensitive materials.
