FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: method of production of iron melt, or melt of steel semiproducts and sponge iron from charged materials including iron ore, preferably of lumpy and/or granulated iron ore, and, if necessary, fluxes, includes direct reduction of charged materials into sponge iron in zone of reduction with fluidized fixed bed. Produced sponge iron is melted in gasifying zone of melting with supply of carbon carriers and oxygen-containing gas. Generated in this zone are CO and H2 containing reducing gas which is supplied to reducing zone where it enters into reaction with withdrawn in capacity of export gas. The latter is cleaned from CO2 and used in production of sponge iron together with one part of reducing gas formed in gasifying zone of melting in the form of reducing gas freed of CO2 and transported to additional zone of reduction for direct reduction of iron ore. One part of reducing gas generated in gasifying zone of melting is separated and supplied to additional reducing zone to bypass stage of removal of CO2 to reduce capital investments in plant for embodiment of the method and to raise its productivity. Plant has device for heating of export gas. The device is installed in supplying pipeline of additional reducing reactor. Supplying pipeline connecting melting gasifier with the first reducing furnace has side pipeline branch included in supplying pipeline of reducing gas of additional reactor, bypassing the unit for removal of CO2.
