FIELD: ferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: method involves producing sponge iron from iron ore in reducing blast furnace and converting sponge iron in smelting gasifier into cast iron smelt. Gas formed in gasifier moves through pipeline directly into the furnace as reducing gas. Blast furnace gas after passing through scrubber to remove carbon dioxide is treated in two steps: first in heat exchanger to 200-500 C and then to temperature required to carrying out reduction process - 750-850 C. Second-step heating may be performed by partial burning in presence of entered oxygen in reactor with fluidized or mobile bed operating, for example, on the basis of ceramic particles heated in regeneration process by aid of electrical resistors or plasma burners, and also switching indirect heat exchangers. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of process. 13 cl, 4 dwg
