FIELD: mechanical engineering, in particular, sewing industry, may be used in polygraphs, medicine and other fields. SUBSTANCE: needle has thread receiving eyelet positioned at pointed end. Needle is made composite and detachable, and has at least two rods which are in contact one with the other along their surface length and may be pressed one to another and detached one from another at side adjacent to eyelet. Eyelet is made in the form of slots or depressions in rods or rod. EFFECT: simplified production process, reduced labor consumption for manufacture of such needle, improved quality of needle and of stitch obtained by means of needle. 2 dwg
