FIELD: construction engineering. SUBSTANCE: device is primarily used for sinking metal housings into ground at trenchless laying of underground service lines. Pipe sinking device has body, striker located inside body, head part connected with body. Joining of head part with body is effected with possibility of shielding body from impact pulses. Shielding of body can be achieved by making joint between head part and body of device detachable from each other at moment of strike with subsequent restoring joint by means of pulling-up member. Various design versions of joint can be employed. Aforesaid embodiment of pipe sinking device is of high operating efficiency and prolonged service life. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 5 cl, 3 dwg
