FIELD: construction machinery and equipment. SUBSTANCE: device can be used for driving horizontal and inclined holes in ground for trenchless laying of underground service lines, and also can be used as striking unit for example in such devices as applied for cleaning and maintenance of subsurface service lines. Pneumatic device of percussive action has hollow body, striker located inside body with possibility for reciprocating motion, air distributing pipe union with sleeve installed with possibility for self-centering in striker hollow. Sleeve is installed on pipe union by means of ball joint. This permits sleeve to have required degree of freedom for correlation of its axial direction with striker and to exclude influence of various kinds of loads on connection with pipe union. Aforesaid embodiment of pneumatic percussive device improves its operating reliability and prolongs its service life due to exclusion of axial displacements of sleeve relative to pipe union with retention of its self-centering feature.
