FIELD: sealing technology. SUBSTANCE: elastic rubber sealing ring is laid between concentric parts of machines which are movable relative to one another. Surface of sealing ring terminates at dynamically working sealing edge on one side and running to low-pressure end on other side. Besides that, sealing ring has outer circumferential surface which is inclined to bottom of slot when sealing ring is not compressed. Imaginary planes pass through taper circular surfaces; they are just circular surfaces passing in taper pattern and forming line of intersection. Line of intersection is located between plane (circular surface) and circumferential surface of second part of machine at all time. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of seal. 7 cl, 4 dwg
