FIELD: heating the process flows in petroleum refining and petroleum chemistry. SUBSTANCE: furnace has two symmetrical radiant chambers with tubular coils separated by convection chamber with tube bundle arranged up to brickwork on top as well as burner ports in front walls of furnace; novelty is that base of tube bundle in convection chamber is placed in horizontal plane of center lines of burner ports which are inclined through angle α to horizontal line; angle is found from equation α = arctg((Hк/Lp)fт),; top of convection chamber tube bundle is joined with tops of radiant chambers; rectangular gas lantern is provided above convection chamber with side outlet for flue gases; hinged upper panels of gas lantern may be relatively arranged so as to form trapezium in vertical sectional area; gas conduit between radiant chambers and convection chamber is made of brickwork with windows for staggered gas outlet; end wall of radiant chambers is made in the form of panel module with vertical axis of revolution and radial monorail at base of each module of chambers. EFFECT: improved operating characteristics, facilitated maintenance of all tubes, improved fuel combustion and, hence, efficiency of furnace. 4 cl, 3 dwg
