FIELD: heat-power engineering; burning fuel, first of all gas and mazut in steam boiler furnaces. SUBSTANCE: furnace formed by vertical walls and hearth is provided with air nozzles arranged in two tiers; number of air nozzles is twice as much as compared with burners arranged in one tier. Nozzles of lower tier are located not higher than burners on opposite wall and nozzles of upper tier and burners may be inclined downward in way of hearth. EFFECT: enhanced economical efficiency of furnace at required (standard) level of NO_x in combustion products. 2 cl, 4 dwg
