Abstract RU 2136016 C1

FIELD: measurement of optical characteristics of atmosphere. SUBSTANCE: light location meter of altitude of cloud base is related to measurement of optical characteristics of atmosphere to determine altitude of detection of runway in the interests of meteorological support of flights of aircraft. It has radiator and receiver of light pulses, optical system, former of initiating pulses, timer, unit processing echo signals, meter of time intervals, controlling converter, unit of statistic processing of measurement results including control circuit and first storage, reading and re- recording unit, second storage and buffer connected in series. Controlling outputs of first and second storages, reading and re-recording unit and buffer are connected to output of control circuit whose output is linked to output of timer. Input of first storage is coupled to output of meter of time intervals and first output of light location meter. Output of buffer is coupled to input of controlling converter and is second output of light location meter. Output of controlling converter is connected to controlling input of former of initiating pulses. EFFECT: increased measurement accuracy given operation life of radiator is limited and diminished density of its radiation to values safe for eyes. 2 dwg
