FIELD: seismic investigations. SUBSTANCE: method is intended for increase of resolving power and detection reliability and for localization of inhomogeneities differing by their properties from environment in examined thickness of various objects. Family of seismic radiators and family of geophones are positioned above examined environmental area. Number and positions of radiators and geophones coincide. Radiation signal with time delays providing for focusing of summary probing beam at each interrogated point of examined environmental area is sent once or several times on to each seismic radiator. Then signals re-radiated by each interrogated point are recorded and their energy is evaluated. Results of processing of obtained data are used to estimate presence of inhomogeneities and their configuration. EFFECT: increased resolving power and reliability of detection of inhomogeneities.
