FIELD: medicine, particularly, physiological methods of examination of weight-bearing and locomotor system applicable in neurology, neurosurgery, orthopedics, traumatology and rehabilitation. SUBSTANCE: method includes registration of moire pattern successively in six periods of transfer of body weight to each foot from position of two-support state on balance. On bases if performed series of topograms, graphs of these transfers are constructed in three planes with subsequent assessment of degree of displacement of body axis. If it is found that body axis inclination in frontal plane to opposite side of supporting extremity amounts to 6 deg, and inclination forward in sagittal plane amounts from 0 to minus 4 deg, and in turning of body axis in horizontal plane it equals up to 4 dwg to same side, state of postural balance is stated, i.e., normal state of muscles ensuring vertical position of body. If inclination of body axis from vertical running through common weight center, in frontal plane is more than 6 dwg to opposite side of supporting extremity, or in inclination to same side; in sagittal plane in inclination forward through more than minus 4 dwg, or in inclination backward through more than 0.1 deg, or in horizontal plane in turning, through more than 4 dwg and minus 4 dwg, disturbance of postural balance (postural unbalance) is diagnosed.
