FIELD: cleaning gas from dropping liquid and mechanical impurities. SUBSTANCE: cyclone includes cylindrical housing with bladed swirler at inlet and taper cutout at outlet; section located in housing between bladed swirler and taper cutout is made in form of taper flexible multi-turn band spiral, for example, steel; larger turns overlap smaller ones at clearance varying in the course of cleaning; shape of multi-turn spiral in initial state is described in polar coordinates r = r₁-hnZ/L-hϕ/2π. Field of determination of coordinates , where r₁ is maximum radius of multi-turn spiral; L is length of spiral; n is number of turns; h is width of clearance between turns of multi-turn spiral; maximum turn of flexible band spiral is rigidly secured on housing of swirler. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of cleaning of gas flow from liquid and mechanical impurities at low rate of flow being separated due to reduction of secondary entrainment of separated fractions. 1 dwg
