FIELD: treatment of metals by cutting. SUBSTANCE: drill has cutting plate with cutting edge made in block of hard-alloy material and mounted on drill body end for detachment. Cutting plate receiving groove passing diametrically and directed along axis of body is provided at body end. Cutting plate centering facility is positioned in groove zone. Drill body is fitted with chip grooves running over its circumference, mainly in axial direction. Cutting plate is secured in groove of body by means of forced closure between plate side surfaces and corresponding opposite sides of groove through elastic pressure resulting from interference fit and exerted by sides of body groove.
