FIELD: railway transport; vehicle running gears. SUBSTANCE: wheelset has two wheels with inner flanges fitted on one solid axle, ratio of diameters being from 0.4 to 0.8, conical engagement, middle wheel rolling line T with diameter of wheel tread L, two outer and inner axle boxes, radial channels in axle connecting inner spaces of axle and axle box spaces which are filled with liquid lubricant, sealing devices preventing leakage of liquid lubricant from axle boxes, hydraulic pump fitted on axle and designed for circulating lubricating and cooling liquid in spaces of bearing axle boxes. EFFECT: increased service life of wheelset, enhanced repairability, reduced maintenance and repair expenses, improved running characteristics and safety, prevention of adverse effect on environment at increased driving speeds, train weight and load on wheelset axle. 1 dwg
