FIELD: metallurgy of non-ferrous metals, more particularly production of alumina, technology of inorganic matter, namely production of sodium carbonate and potassium sulfate. SUBSTANCE: potassium sulfate is prepared from soda-potash solutions of alumina production by treating potassium sulfate accumulating bicarbonate with original soda-potash solution in amount of bicarbonate within 500- 735 g/cubic dm, and recovered potassium sulfate is separated. EFFECT: high degree recovery of purified potassium sulfate and purified sodium carbonate being recovered. 2 cl, 1 tbl
