FIELD: chemistry of polymers, more particularly additive to polymeric materials to reduce combustibility thereof. SUBSTANCE: method comprises chlorinating paraffins with gaseous chlorine in two stages in carbon tetrachloride at 70-85 C, and process is initiated by azobisisobutyronitrile. Paraffins are chlorinated without solvent in the presence of stabilizer and plasticizer, in first stage at 80-140 C to obtain chloroparaffins with chlorine weight fraction of 50-65%, and process is initiated by azobisisobutyronitrile, and in second stage at 135-160 C to obtain thermally induced desired product. Stabilizers and plasticizers include trialkyl-; dialkylaryl-; alkyldiaryl-, triphosphates or mixtures thereof. EFFECT: simplified technology and intensified process. 2 cl
