FIELD: chemical industry. SUBSTANCE: chlorine is reacted with paraffin in carbon tetrachloride solution in column in the presence of initiator at atmospheric or elevated pressure, temperature of 80-150 C with counterflow of paraffin and chlorine followed by absorption of chlorine, condensation of carbon tetrachloride and distillation of chlorine from chloroparaffin. Chlorination, chlorine absorption and distillation stages are carried out in single column subdivided into three parts, namely reaction zone, absorption zone and lower steaming area with chlorine recycled from steaming area into reaction zone. EFFECT: substantially complete chlorine conversion. 1 dwg, 1 tbl
