FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: as catalyst used is carboxylic acid amide in amount 0.01-0.30 wt % counted per initial paraffin, as paraffin used is liquid paraffin with chain length C9-C21 or mixture of liquid paraffin with solid paraffin with chain length C20-C30 with weight ratio 90-95:5-10 respectively; the process is carried out at temperature 110-160°C and pressure 0-0.5 MPa (0-5 kg/cm).
EFFECT: application of claimed invention makes it possible to obtain solid highly chlorinated paraffins with high weight part of chlorine, possessing improved smoke-generating properties.
