FIELD: polymer materials and lacquer coatings. SUBSTANCE: material comprising (A) water-dilutable polyacrylate resin containing hydroxyl and carboxylate groups and (B) polyisocyanate component as cross-linking agent is distinguished by than resin (A) has OH number 40 to 200 mg KOH/g, acid number 20 to 100 mg KOH/g, and vitrification temperature from -40 to 60 C, resin A being prepared by polymerization, in organic solvent or in solvent mixture and in presence of one polymerization initiator, of (a1) (meth)acrylic acid ester other than (a2), (a3), (a4), and (a6) and copolymerizable with (a2), (a3), (a4), (a5), and (a6) and basically containing no carboxylic groups, or mixture of such monomers; (a2) ethylenically unsaturated monomer copolymerizable with (a1), (a3), (a4), (a5), and (a6) and other than (a4) and carrying at least one hydroxyl group per molecule and basically containing no carboxylic groups, or mixture of such monomers; (a3) one or several vinyl esters of alpha-branched C5-C18-monocarboxylic acids and/or (a4) at least one product of interaction of acrylic and/or methacrylic acid with glycidyl ester of alpha-branched C5-C18- monocarboxylic acid or, instead, interaction product of equivalent amount of acrylic and/or methacrylic acid that then, during or after polymerization reaction, is brought into reaction with glycidyl ester of alpha-branched C5-C18-monocarboxylic acid; (a5) ethylenically unsaturated monomer copolymerizable with (a1), (a2), (a3) (a4), and (a6) and other than (a1), (a2), (a3), and (a4) and carrying at least one hydroxyl group per molecule, or mixture of such monomers; and (a6) ethylenically unsaturated monomer copolymerizable, if necessary, with (a1), (a2), (a3) (a4), and (a5) and other than (a1), (a2), (a3), and (a4) and basically containing no carboxylic groups, or mixture of such monomers. Polymerization completed, resulting polyacrylate resin is at least partially neutralized and dispersed in water. Components (a1)-(a6) are chosen such and in such amounts as to provide required OH number, acid number, and vitrification temperature. EFFECT: improved quality of coating. 9 cl, 2 tbl, 2 ex
