FIELD: protective coatings. SUBSTANCE: metal pipe is coated with powder ground composed of: epoxidated novolacs with average functionality, 2.4-2.9; and epoxide equivalent weight, 600-850; phenolic cross-linking agents containing hydroxyl groups of bisphenol A or F with hydroxy-equivalent weight, 180- 600; epoxy-phenol resin hardening catalysts - phosphonic acid salts, imidazoles and their derivatives, quaternary ammonium salts, and amines; and fillers, 10 to 40 wt % - silicic acid modifications functionalized by glycidyl groups. Powder ground is further covered successively by solid thermoplastic glue (copolymers of ethylene, methacrylic acid, and C1-C8-alkyl methacrylates) and polyethylene layer. Degree of ground cross-linking on applying solid glue is 40-60%. EFFECT: increased resistance to delamination in hot water and under cathode polarization conditions. 13 cl, 4 ex
