FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: cast composite material based on aluminum alloy hardened by heating includes aluminum alloy and hardeners: inclusions of intermetallic compound phases of Al3X, composition, where X may be Ti, Zr, V, Hf with phase size within 20 mcm, N=5-15 vol.%, discrete ceramic particles with average size of not in excess of 28 mcm-(30-N) vol.% and liberations of hardening phases in age hardening of 7-10 vol.%. Discrete ceramic hardeners in material may be in form of TiC, ZrC, B4C, SiC, Al2O3, ZrO2, BN, TiN. Method of production of cast composite material includes mechanical mixing of discrete ceramic particles into aluminum alloy, additional alloying of melt with composite alloying composition containing elements forming intermetallic compound phases Al3X,, were X may be Ti, Zr, V, Hf; subsequent mixing of melt its liquid dieing and subsequent age hardening of alloy.
