FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: leverage reducer has at least two levers with pivotal supports positioned between their ends on common base or platform and interconnected in sliding relation by connecting link at initial angle of inclination. Levers may be inclined one relative to the other at an angle close to π,, with alternating sign of inclination angle between adjacent levers. Leverage reducer may be used as power unit in other mechanism. Free ends of outer levers of this mechanism are shaped to provide forced contact between loading and loaded surfaces. Free ends of outer levers are equipped with pivotal edges or longitudinal slots allowing kinematical connection with driving and driven ends of other mechanism.
