FIELD: heat-and-mass exchange apparatus using gaseous, liquid or dispersed systems. SUBSTANCE: liquid or gaseous fluid media is organized in form of tubular flow 59 having rotary and translational motion along axis 10 of working chamber 4. At boundary of space 63 which is located near axis of chamber 4, primary flow 59 is converted into secondary flow 64 mainly directed to axis of chamber 4. Disturbance is applied on fluid medium near axis 10 of chamber 4 forming zones of interaction and interaction product inside space 63. Interaction product thus formed is brought out of interaction zone in form of jet inside primary tubular flow 59 in direction opposite to direction of translational motion of this flow. Conversion of tubular flow 59 into opposite jet flow is accompanied by effect of all-round delivery of fluid medium to zone where direction of flow is reversed, thus causing all-round hydrodynamic compression of interaction zone 65. Varying configuration of primary flow 59, intensity of its rotation and flow rate of fluid medium in this flow makes it possible to change shape interaction zone 65, to adjust delivery of fluid medium to interaction zone 65 and spreading of interaction product from this zone. heat-and-mass exchange apparatus used for realization of proposed method has flow braking device on inner surface of working chamber 4, for example on cover 6 of chamber 4 whose longitudinal and transversal sizes are selected depending on relationship 0,5 < L < kD, where D maximum transversal size of chamber 4, L is length of chamber and k is empirical coefficient equal to 5 to 30. EFFECT: possibility of forming controllable interaction of system of flows in chamber of mass-and-heat exchange apparatus, thus ensuring control of hydrodynamic processes in interaction zone at simultaneous isolation of this zone. 30 cl, 8 dwg
