FIELD: measurement of neutron fluxes in control and protection system of nuclear reactor, of critical assembly and other neutron sources. SUBSTANCE: unit 1 includes two neutron-sensitive volumes 2 and 3 with electrically insulated signal electrodes 4 and 5 correspondingly. First neutron-sensitive volume 2 includes nuclide 10в6 emitting charged particles in reaction with neutrons. Its signal electrode 4 is designed for connection to input of path 8 measuring electric current by means of electric communication line 7. In this case first neutron-sensitive volume is formed by electric connection of electrodes of identical neutron-sensitive volumes. Second neutron-sensitive volume 3 has layer 9 of fissionable material with certain sensitivity. Signal electrode 5 of this neutron-sensitive volume is intended for connection to input of path 10 measuring speed of counting of pulses of reaction. This neutron-sensitive volume is formed by electric connection of signal electrodes of identical neutron-sensitive volumes. Unit makes it feasible to simplify design of unit of ionization chambers, of unit of detectors, of measurement channel as whole. It can be used to measure density of flux of thermal neutrons in interval from 1.0 to 5 • 1011 см-2• с-1 with relative deviation of 2.0-3.5% of load characteristic from linear one.
