FIELD: radiation control. SUBSTANCE: method for measuring dosage rate in tissue-equivalent material during gamma-neutron irradiation involves application of supply voltage to electrodes of solid-state ionizing chamber whose interelectrode space is filled with hydrogen-containing dielectric, which are irradiated by gamma-neutron rays, and time dependance of double-peak signal which functions to indicate dosage rate in tissue-equivalent material; simultaneously, fast neutron detector signal is measured as function of time, signal components whose first pear is in advance of and whose second peak coincides with radiation pulse peal are separated, dosage rate of neutrons and gamma-rays are determined by value of first signal component on leading edge within time space where time dependence of signal first component is proportional to time dependence of detector signal and by second component of solid-state ionizing chamber signal; these values are used to determine dosage rate during gamma-neutron irradiation. Signals are separated by means of extrapolation of leading edge of second component of solid-state ionizing chamber signal with function proportional to neutron detector signal.
