FIELD: power engineering; nuclear power units. SUBSTANCE: inertia constant of reactor internal thermocouple sensors mounted in shielding cans and radiant heating error of such sensors are proposed to be determined by heating their sensing elements with electric pulses of definite length. This will augment heat transfer between sensor and medium whose temperature is measured. EFFECT: improved temperature measurement accuracy.
