FIELD: nuclear power reactors.
SUBSTANCE: reactor protection. The reactor contains a cooled load-bearing radiation-protective housing, a core enclosed in a heat-resistant housing and surrounded by a side neutron reflector, general control elements and a thermal chamber docked by the radiation-protective bottom with inlet and outlet collectors for the working coolant. The reactor protection is made on the basis of means for self-regulation of its reactivity by local reactivity regulators made in the form of thermocouples with a liquid metal neutron absorber, which together form an integrated self-regulation system for self-protection. The thermocouples are hermetically passed through the radiation-protective bottom of the thermal chamber and the lower bottoms of the reactor and core vessels, with the location of the evaporation sections in the core, and the condenser sections - in the heat chamber, and the ends of the evaporation sections of the thermocouple are movably fixed in nozzles attached on the upper bottom of the core, and the supporting ends of the capacitor sections are freely installed in the grooves of the heating chamber support grid.
EFFECT: increasing the efficiency and reliability of protection of nuclear and radiation safety of a nuclear reactor.
