FIELD: radio engineering, specifically, cellular systems with code separation of channels using relay transfer to ensure uninterrupted communication of mobile station with base one. SUBSTANCE: novelty of method of switching of base station in cellular radio communication systems with code separation of channels lies in determination of moments of start and finish of relay transfer when adaptive smooth evaluations of level of signal in backward channel are used. Evaluation of frequency of fast fading in communication channel is employed to tune parameters of smoothing. Novelty of method of evaluation of frequency of signal fading in propagation medium in radio communication systems with closed loop controlling power of mobile station consists in reconstruction of monotony of signal envelope before frequency analysis when receiving signal of backward channel with usage of initial sequences of commands for power control. Receiving equipment of base station is developed to realize above- mentioned methods. EFFECT: enhanced quality and reliability of communication, enlarged system capacity and improved optimality in distribution of system resources thanks to decreased influence of fast fading in channel on decision making on relay transfer. 4 cl, 12 dwg
