SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of assembling chocks with rolling roll, guiding assembled unit to rolling stand at placing chock faces between their guides, before assembling operation securing chocks to necking portion of reference roll with cylindrical barrel, then resting lateral faces of chocks on flat layout plate and providing equal gaps between both edges of roll barrel and layout plate.
