FIELD: building industry, energetics, heat technology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of refractory materials, in part, to producing strengthening coating on refractory materials and charge for its realization. Invention relates to also the technology of producing oxide-ceramic coating on articles made of light porous heat-insulating refractory materials. Method involves preparing the charge containing silicon oxide and aluminium, its applying on an article surface of dross composition containing water glass as a binding agent followed by drying and heating a backing up to the moment of technological combustion initiation. Charge has additionally clay as a modified addition, amorphous boron, potassium tetrafluoroborate or their mixtures. Heating is carried out up to the point of the combustion initiation - 760-840 C.
