FIELD: electroinsulating materials. SUBSTANCE: invention describes a new electroinsulating composition based on suspension polyvinyl chloride and involving dioctyl phthalate, metal-containing stabilizing agent, diphenylol- -propane, stearic acid, pigments, chalk and additionally - asbestos fiber modified with 0.2-1.5 mas. p. of silica filler as a vehicle at the following ratio of components, mas. p. p.: suspension polyvinyl chloride 100; dioctyl phthalate 40-70; metal-containing stabilizing agent 5.0-14.6; diphenylolpropane 0.3-1.0; stearic acid 0.3-1.0; pigments 1.0-7.0; chalk 5-30; asbestos fiber modified with 0.2-1.5 mas. p. of silica filler 0.7-11.5. Composition exhibits the decreased water-absorption, hardness at 20 C and high resistance to tear. EFFECT: improved quality and properties of the composition. 2 tbl
