FIELD: organic chemistry. SUBSTANCE: invention describes a new electroluminescent material consisting of electronic injecting layer, an active luminescent layer based on chelate complex of metal of group 2B or 3A of periodic system of elements, hole-transport layer and hole-injecting layer. Material has a complex of 8-mercaptoquinoline derivative of the general formula (I) where n = 2-3; M is Zn, Cd, Ga; R1-R6 mean independently each of other - H, methyl; R3, R4 mean independently each of other unsubstituted phenyl or phenyl substituted with methyl, tert.-butyl; R3-R5 mean independently each of other methoxy-, ethoxy-, dimethylamino-, diethylamino--group, nitrile. Obtained electroluminescent material exhibits emission in green range of spectrum, lower sensitivity to moisture and increased thermostability. EFFECT: improved quality and properties of material. 3 cl, 1 tbl, 3 ex
