FIELD: mining industry. SUBSTANCE: potassium ore processing pulp consisting of brines and clay slurries, prior to be transferred into slurry tank, is chlorinated maintaining pH of brines below 4 and further removed from slurry tank only after precipitation of iron hydroxide with gold and other heavy metal admixtures. EFFECT: reduced loss of gold and prevented environmental heavy metal pollution.
