FIELD: hydrometallurgy and precious metal technology. SUBSTANCE: gold is coprecipitated from high- mineralization chloride solutions containing polyvalent metals and 0.010 to 0.100 g/cu.m gold by correction of solution to pH 5.6-4.7, addition of an oxidant to redox potential value 10-100 mV, and photochemical activation of solution leading to hydrolytic precipitation of polyvalent metal hydroxides accompanied by precipitation of gold. As oxidant, aeration-supplied air oxygen or oxygen produced by decomposition of oxygen-containing reagent can be used. Photochemical activation is achieved by sunlight UV irradiation in photochemical reactor for 1.5 to 5 h. EFFECT: reduced expenses and improved environmental safety of operation. 5 cl, 1 tbl
