METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PREDICTING DESTRUCTION OF ROCK MATTER Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: mining industry. SUBSTANCE: this can be used in mining industry for predicting dynamic occurrences in rock mass at changing of its stressed and deformed state. Method implies recording in time interval of measuring signals of electromagnetic radiation and measuring of their amplitudes. Time interval is divided into two unequal parts. Values of signal amplitudes are measured after equal time intervals. Before loading of investigated section of rock mass, determined is intensity of interference signal emittance and measured are signal amplitudes in larger part of measuring time interval. Beginning of destruction moment is determined according to loading value of investigated section of rock mass according to mathematical relation. Device has channel for receiving and recording of emitted signals with in series engaged amplifier and recording unit. Introduced in device are electromagnetic converter-aerial, threshold voltage former, detector, comparator, and indicator. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 2 cl, 1 dwg
