METHOD, DEVICE AND TRANSDUCER FOR DETECTION OF ELECTROMAGNETIC RADIATION OF DEFORMABLE SOLID BODIES, FOR EXAMPLE, ROCK SPECIMENS Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

Abstract RU 2172005 C1

FIELD: geophysics of mining art, applicable in electroprospecting and examination of electromagnetic fields radiated by rocks at their destruction, as well as in mining industry for prediction of dynamic manifestations in a massif at a change of its stress- deformed state. SUBSTANCE: the method consists in installation of the specimen, for example, of a rock between the plates of a variable-capacitance transducer, its deformation by a force action on it accompanied by formation of electromagnetic radiation of cracks produced in the process of deformation of the specimen, exposure of the plates of the variable-capacitance transducer to this radiation mixed with electromagnetic noise and noise of the equipment with formation of alternating potentials and detection of them. The essence of the invention is as follows: the directivity pattern of the variable- capacitance transducer as the variable-capacitance transducer. The potential of the middle zone is put equal to zero by grounding the middle cylindrical variable-capacitance element of the three-element cylindrical variable- capacitance transducer, and the present values of electrical potentials arising at the extreme plates of the three-link variable-capacitance transducer (its extreme cylindrical variable-capacitance elements) are detected by the signal processing unit with the aid of the uncoupling unit. The uncoupling unit use three operational amplifiers interconnected in a differential circuit. The high-resistance outputs of the extreme cylindrical variable-capacitance elements of the three-element cylindrical variable- capacitance transducer are connected to the inverting inputs of the first and second operational amplifiers used as voltage followers. The input of the signal processing unit is connected to the output of the third operational amplifier used an electrometric subtracter. EFFECT: enhanced truth of obtained information. 4 cl, 2 dwg
