FIELD: measurement operations for routine upkeep and repair of railway tracks, motor roads, layout operations in transport projects for laying of roadbeds and their preparation for running. SUBSTANCE: sight optical instrument has telescope with grid, dioptric and rack gear rings, level and prop with shoe. Horizontal telescope with erect image is mounted in horizontal half-axles in column that is put on vertical half-axle with round level and base in the form of lens for horizontal rotation of telescope. Casing has space to accommodate lens, spring clamp and socket for attachment of instrument to stand, round hole on top where vertical half-axle set with displacement of lens by round level is anchored in sloping spherical surface of casing. EFFECT: reduced labor input for setting of instrument, diminished mass and dimensions and expanded application field of it. 2 cl, 3 dwg
