FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: proposed liquid and gas flowmeter has circular working conduit with tangent feeding and drain branch pipes, flow rate converter installed in working conduit and signal pick-off unit. Salient feature of flowmeter lies in manufacture of flow rate converter in the form of segment of ring impeller that has two blades as minimum and connecting member between blades. Such design of flowmeter reduces friction of converter against walls of working conduit, diminishes possibility of its seizure, passage of converter through region of vortex flow is facilitated and reliability of start in measurement field of small flows is increased.
