FIELD: oil industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in oil production from wells with a high content of free gas and abrasive particles using electric centrifugal pump installations. The method of operation of a submersible installation of a vane pump with a multi-vortex separator of mechanical impurities and a gas phase enlarger consists of supplying a flow of formation fluid containing mechanical impurities and free gas to the inlet of the separator below the separator, removing the flow from the separator and feeding it to the inlet of the pump or gas separator above the separator, flow passing in the separator from top to bottom through an annular channel between a coaxially placed cylindrical body and a hollow cylindrical pipe, twisting and dividing the flow in a spiral channel formed between the screw blades and in a vortex chamber with a cone-shaped part, draining the flow with a lower content of mechanical impurities into the pump through a hollow cylindrical pipe, removal of mechanical impurities through the cone-shaped part of the vortex chamber. The multiphase flow is supplied to the separator along an arcuate path, due to this, preliminary separation is carried out before entering the screw. The inlet channels connecting the annulus with the annular channel of the coupling are made in the coupling in such a way that the distance between the inlet channels and the screw is no more than one screw diameter.
EFFECT: increasing the reliability and efficiency of the installation of a vane pump with a downhole separator of mechanical impurities and a gas phase enlarger due to the separation of part of the free gas and mechanical impurities, as well as abrasive particles before entering the pump.
