FIELD: electrical engineering; remote control of low-, medium-, and high-voltage circuits. SUBSTANCE: switch has case, vacuum arc chute accommodating fixed and movable contacts, contact pressure and movable-contact opening springs mounted on arc chute shaft; opening spring is supported on one end by case and on other end, by parts rigidly coupled with movable contact; both springs are held at movable-contact potential. One more design version of switch is proposed as an alternative. Opening spring is held compressed only up to moment when contact members are brought in touch and as soon as switch is closed, operating mechanism components are locked by means of lower pawl; switch opening command is sent at any moment of ON- or OFF- operation. In second version, upper pawl is unlocked by force and movement of reset control spring. EFFECT: reduced power requirement of operating mechanism, improved speed of response and serviceability. 4 cl, 4 dwg
